About ME

Hello. I’m Emre OZCAN and welcome ridebrief.com.
I’ve been fascinated by motor vehicles since I was a little kid. Because my father also worked in the transportation industry, I’ve always been involved with cars. I’ve also spent a large portion of my life in the industry.

I currently work as a senior engineer at a private company outside the automotive sector. In my spare time, I collect and rebuild vintage BMWs as a hobby in my own garage, using my own equipment. I also keep up with the latest automotive news and try not to miss relevant automotive trade shows.

I have established this website to provide information to eliminate the confusion and uncertainties regarding usage that users currently experience, especially during the transition from internal combustion engines to electric drive engines.

On RideBrief, I share:

Practical Electric Vehicle Buying Guides,

Positive and negative charging experiences,

Long-distance travel insights with EVs,

Next-generation battery technologies,

Next-generation technology news about internal combustion engines,

I write everything myself. I don’t use any agencies, automated writing tools, or bots.

Outside of RideBrief:

  • I enjoy road trips and documenting little details others might miss
  • I’m a tech enthusiast and follow innovation closely
  • I test new charging stations whenever I travel
  • I genuinely like talking to EV owners and hearing their stories
  • And yes — I’m still waiting for the day charging infrastructure is perfect (we’re not there yet)

I created this site to contribute something real to the EV world — human, grounded, and useful.

If you want to share your EV story, collaborate, or just say hello, feel free to reach out.

Whether you’re thinking about buying an EV, already own one, or just curious about the technology, I hope RideBrief helps you feel a little more informed — and maybe a bit more excited about the future of driving.

Emre
